Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at Centralworld, Bangkok, Thailand 5-9 October 2026

Where research, collaboration, and innovation converge

The SVRI Forum 2026 will be held at the Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Centre, Bangkok, Thailand from 5 – 9 October 2026

The SVRI Forum is the Sexual Violence Research Initiative’s flagship event and the world’s leading conference on research, evidence, and solutions to prevent and respond to violence against women (VAW), violence against children (VAC), and other forms of gender-based violence (GBV).

Held every two years, this action-driven event brings together over 1,500 global stakeholders, researchers, practitioners, survivors, policymakers, funders, and activists to share cutting-edge research, challenge the status quo, and co-create solutions for a world free from violence.

SVRI Forum 2026 is co-hosted by the Southeast Asia Gender-Based Violence Prevention Platform and the UN Joint Programme, through UN Women and UNFPA. Together, we are building a global, inclusive, and collaborative space to strengthen evidence and advance action.

Abstract submission is now closed: Thank you to everyone who submitted an abstract for the SVRI Forum 2026. Receiving more than 2,200 submissions is a real testament to the resilience of the field and to the importance of the Forum as a space for sharing evidence, learning together, and shaping what comes next.

Accessibility at SVRI Forum 2026

We are committed to making SVRI Forum 2026 as accessible and supportive as possible. During our recent site visit to the Centara Grand Hotel and Convention Centre, we reviewed mobility and accessibility across the venue and will continue strengthening these measures as planning progresses.

To help everyone plan their participation with ease, we encourage delegates and organisations to share any anticipated accessibility needs with us ahead of time. Early conversations enable us to provide accurate information about what the venue and our systems can offer, and to flag any limitations so participants can prepare accordingly. While we are not able to fund extensive accessibility support at this time, we do want to reassure delegates that the venue itself offers strong mobility access, including step-free routes, elevators to all conference levels, and accessible restrooms.

If you or your colleagues have accessibility requirements or suggestions, please contact us at forums@svri.org

Your feedback is deeply valued and will help us improve the experience for everyone attending the Forum!

Sponsorship and Partnership Opportunities

The Forum represents more than just a conference. It’s a global movement to end violence against women, violence against children, and other intersecting forms of gender-based violence through evidence-based action.

We are raising funds to ensure that SVRI Forum 2026 remains accessible, inclusive, and influential in shaping the global response to violence against women and violence against children..
