What is the SVRI Forum?
The SVRI Forum is the world’s leading conference on research, evidence, and solutions to prevent and respond to violence against women (VAW), violence against children (VAC), and other forms of gender-based violence (GBV)
Held every two years, this dynamic and action-driven event brings together over 1,000 global stakeholders, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, funders, and activists, to share cutting-edge research, challenge the status quo, and co-create solutions for a world free from violence.
The SVRI Forum 2026 will serve as a catalyst for innovation, collaboration, and change.

About the SVRI
The Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI) is the largest global network dedicated to advancing research and evidence-informed action to end VAW and VAC. Founded in 2003 within the World Health Organization (WHO), SVRI is now an independent, field-building organisation with a bold vision:
A world where women and children in all their diversity live free from violence.
SVRI’s core focus areas
Building and disseminating evidence for change – advancing knowledge through research, funding, and priority-setting.
Strengthening capacity for innovation – providing training, mentorship, and opportunities for emerging researchers, especially in LMICs.
Creating collective impact – fostering collaboration through networking, partnerships, and global convenings like the SVRI Forum.
Influencing change – advocating for ethical, equitable, and feminist funding and policy approaches to drive evidence-based action.
