The SVRI Forum is the Sexual Violence Research Initiative’s flagship event and the world’s leading conference on research, evidence, and solutions to prevent and respond to violence against women, violence against children, and other forms of gender-based violence. For the SVRI Forum 2026, SVRI has chosen to partner with Space Bangkok!
SVRI is partnering with Space Bangkok as the official Wellness Coordinator for the SVRI Forum 2026, to design and lead the delivery of wellness and care support. As a social enterprise, Space Bangkok supports peacebuilding, resilience, leadership development, strategic problem-solving, and trauma-informed approaches through creative facilitation, capacity building, and long-term accompaniment. With over 25 years of experience and fluency in Thai and English, Space Bangkok brings space, structure, neutrality, and deep cultural insight to the rooms that matter most.
Meet the Wellness Team

Jenn Weidman
Facilitator, Peacebuilder, Resilience Builder, Trauma-Informed Practitioner, Author
Jenn is a process facilitator and peacebuilder who integrates resilience and trauma-informed practice into leadership development for individuals, organizations, and teams tackling complex global challenges. With more than 25 years of experience across the nonprofit, academic, international, and private sectors, she designs and leads transformative retreats, workshops, and strategic processes that strengthen capacity, deepen alignment, and foster sustainable impact.
Jenn is the Founder and CEO of Space Bangkok, a social enterprise supporting peacebuilding, resilience, leadership development, and strategic problem-solving through creative facilitation, capacity building, and long-term accompaniment. Her work draws on extensive experience in conflict transformation, systems practice, and intercultural learning, including senior leadership roles.
In addition to her facilitation practice, Jenn leads a peer and technical support program for women entrepreneurs in Thailand, cultivating community, mentorship, and practical business growth. She is fluent in Thai and brings a cross-cultural lens to all her work.

Asupee (Bright) Phonsena
Space Bangkok, Business Manager
Bright is a business and program support professional at Space Bangkok, where he works across a range of initiatives focused on entrepreneurship, community building, learning, and collaboration. Bright supports program coordination, event planning and management, communications, member engagement, and day-to-day operations.
Bright also works closely with entrepreneurs, facilitators, and community members, helping to create spaces where people can connect, exchange ideas, learn from one another, and build meaningful relationships. With a strong interest in supporting people and communities, Bright enjoys being behind the scenes to help turn ideas into well-organized and impactful programs and experiences.

Laiyoung Chen
Counselor, CEO, New Counseling Services (NCS)
Laiyoung Cheng is the CEO of New Counseling Service (NCS), a mental health agency that has been serving the community in Thailand since 2001. Over the years, NCS has become a well-known and trusted mental health resource, providing counseling for kids, adults, individuals, couples, and families in both Thai and English.
Beyond his leadership role at NCS, Laiyoung also has experience as a primary counselor at an esteemed international school in Bangkok. With a dual background in Business and Psychology, he has a strong foundation in both the counseling and organizational aspects. He specializes in parenting issues and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), a rare specialization in
Thailand. He also holds certifications in Sandplay Therapy and Suicide Prevention, providing him with a unique blend of techniques and interventions. Born in New York before moving to Thailand in his teenage years and five years in Europe as a young professional, Laiyoung holds personal insight into the third culture experience.
Additionally, he also serves as a community leader in various fitness and wellbeing circles in Bangkok, guiding others towards building effective and sustainable routines to achieve their wellness goals.
With his background as both a counselor and a community leader, Laiyoung leads the NCS team with dedication, vision, and care. He fosters an environment that is committed to
the highest standard of practice at an international level, ensuring that all clients receive ethical, compassionate, and individualized care.

Charlie Allen
Facilitator, Peacebuilder, Resilience Practitioner
Charlie Allen APM is a facilitator, peacebuilder and resilience practitioner with more than 30 years’ experience working with people and organisations navigating complex, demanding and often sensitive environments.
Charlie leads Space Melbourne, where his work focuses on process facilitation, trauma-informed practice, resilience and collective wellbeing. He works across Australia and the Asia-Pacific, designing and facilitating processes that help individuals and teams reflect, connect and work effectively with difficult issues.
Charlie is a Board Member of Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre, contributing to the leadership and governance of a specialist 24/7 family violence response service. His broader experience spans humanitarian, human rights, peacebuilding and community organisations in Australia and internationally.
Charlie holds a Master’s in Leadership and Organisational Change and postgraduate qualifications in Peace and Conflict Prevention, Good Governance, and Human Rights.

Janny Jinor
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Trauma and Tele-Mental Health Specialist, Educator, Entrepreneur
Janny Jinor, LCSW, BC-TMH, PhD, is a licensed clinical social worker with a PhD in psychology, trauma and tele-mental health specialist, educator, and behavioral health entrepreneur with more than 19 years of clinical experience across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
With more than 13 years devoted to military-connected populations, her work has focused extensively on combat stress, trauma, PTSD, resilience, and reintegration. She currently serves Veterans through the Department of Veterans Affairs Community Care Network and is the founder of Miralife Tele-Therapist LLC and Miralifeonline, a clinician-led behavioral health and professional education platform.
Her broader experience includes HIV/AIDS care and treatment adherence, child welfare, displaced populations, occupational burnout among international and crisis-location professionals, trauma research, and education in stress management, prevention, and self-care. Her published research, Secondary Trauma of Lay Mental Health Workers in Low-Resource Locations: Bukavu, examines secondary trauma among lay mental health workers in low-resource settings. Beyond her professional work, Janny is guided by a simple philosophy: Be a good human, embrace life’s simple adventures, and use what you know to leave people and communities better than you found them.

Jonathan Garrett
Counselor
Jonathan holds Master’s Degrees in Counseling Psychology from Assumption University and in Public Health from Tulane University in the U.S., and has worked in counseling centers at Thammasat University and Assumption University in Thailand. Having studied Schema Therapy, he blends schema analysis into an overall existential approach in working with adults and university students. Additionally, Jonathan has taught at university level in Thailand and Laos, and has numerous years of experience as an educator and facilitator. Having resided in Southeast Asia since 2003 with 15 years in the humanitarian sector, he brings a thorough knowledge of the cross-cultural challenges faced by expats and persons working with humanitarian organizations.

Johanna de Koning
Clinical Director, Supervisor, Counselor
Johanna is founder and clinical director and supervisor at NCS (New Counseling Service). She is accredited with the ACC in England, holds an M.A. in Counseling and certifications in specialized topics including art therapy, couples therapy and play therapy.
Johanna has more than 30 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families to help them overcome a range of issues. Her modalities include CBT, trauma-informed therapy, and various creative therapies. As a qualified supervisor, she helps guide our counselors to ensure the best quality of counseling possible. She is from the Netherlands and has lived in Thailand since 1986, she speaks Thai fluently and has a deep understanding of Thai culture from a local perspective.

Savinee Khanijou
Counselor, Trainer, Case Manager
Savinee completed her Master’s of Counseling Studies in Edinburgh and holds a double B.A. in Psychology. She is experienced in working with both adults and children. With children, she is an expert at utilizing play therapy and other therapeutic models to create a safe place for children to express themselves and deal with their emotions more effectively. She also works with adults in various areas using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), person-centered therapy, psychoanalysis, and emotion-focused therapy (EFT).
Savinee is Thai-Indian, she grew up in Thailand, has lived in Australia, and has also worked in international schools in Bangkok, lending her a comprehensive understanding of a variety of cultures.

Sannipha (Pam) Chotikapanich
Counselor, Trainer, Client Care Coordinator
Pam holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling and has certificates in different areas of holistic healing for both children and adults. She has previous experience working closely with children and adolescents as a school counselor at an international school and a teacher at a Steiner school which embraces therapeutic and experiential sides of education. She works with adolescents, adults, and is also a couples counselor.
Pam’s modalities are CBT, ACT, DBT, person-centered therapy, Gottman therapy, among others. Pam is half Thai-Chinese half Indian; she grew up and was educated between Thailand and the United States, giving her a deep understanding of both Western and Asian cultures.

Natanat (Nano) Tanongsakmontri

Nano is soon to receive his Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Chulalongkorn University, while also holding a double Bachelors degree in Psychology. He works with clients from diverse and international backgrounds with various issues using an eclectic mix of approaches whether it be CBT, EFT, ACT, or other humanistic approaches including theories and techniques from express arts therapy.
With his background and experience in international schools and professional settings, Nano has a deep understanding of various cultures and is experienced in working with both expats and Thai nationals. He works primarily with working-age adults, young adults, and teenagers.

She is an experienced administrative and office management professional with over 20 years of experience in office operations, administration, logistics, event coordination, international programs, customer service, and sales support, and is the Office Manager at Space Bangkok.
Highly organized, responsible, and detail-oriented with strong communication and coordination skills, she enjoys supporting teams, managing multiple priorities, and ensuring that daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.

She particularly enjoys building connections between organisations, people, and creative opportunities.
Alongside her work at Imagineear, Meimei is involved in Inspiring Girls, where she supports operations and helps develop and facilitate programmes and workshops for young people. She also works independently across creative projects, including art, workshop design, and content creation. Her work brings together creativity, community, and collaboration, with a focus on creating experiences that inspire curiosity, confidence, and connection.

Athalie de Koning is a Vocal Coach who has worked internationally as a singer, events manager, and public speaker since 2010. Athalie became the Creative Director of NCS to promote mental health awareness and provide coaching for leaders both on and off stage. She has been a lecturer at various universities on topics ranging from project management to marketing and communication. Combining her experience in the hospitality industry and education field, Athalie regularly conducts workshops on vocal health, management, and intercultural communication. Using practical exercises and tools for the corporate work environment, she helps people to reclaim their authority, communicate clearly, and ultimately, to find their own voice.

Davina Liisa is the founder of The Davina Liisa Method, a holistic wellness practice rooted in nervous system regulation, hormone health, and root cause healing.
